Sunset Cliffs San Diego Engagement | Ted & Danni
After visiting this location many times before realizing my passion for photography, I couldn’t be happier to finally do an engagement session at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego.
By this time, Ted and Danni had already secured their wedding date with me. Because the wedding was going to be in the beautiful Yosemite Valley, we thought that doing the engagement photos closer to their home in a complete opposite location would be an awesome choice.
I traveled to meet them in San Diego, California. The weather was cloudy and a little bit chilly, however, I was hoping this would play to our advantage when it comes to crowds at Sunset Cliffs.
To add more diversity, the three of us agreed to shoot in more than one location; so we started the session at Kate Sessions Memorial Park. Some of my favorite photos from the day came from this first location. It was a great way for us all to warm up to each other, and get some great images with more privacy before heading to the cliffs.
After finishing up at the park, we drove about 15 minutes to the coast. As I had hoped, because of the weather, it was much less crowded than usual and parking was not too hard to find. We were able to get some amazing environmental portraits of Ted and Danni at Sunset Cliffs. The clouds in the sky made for some awesome, dramatic blue tones.
I am extremely happy with how these turned out. This was my first time being able to do engagement photos in San Diego, and I cannot wait to do more. I have to give a huge thank you to Ted and Danni for coordinating their outfits so well, and of course for being so wonderful to be around. I am absolutely honored to be able to capture their engagement and wedding photos.
